We meet at The Nature Place, located at 789 Myrick Park Dr, La Crosse, WI. This is accessed off of La Crosse St.

Dan Jackson - The River Mussels of Wisconsin
Dan, a long-time member of the Coulee Region Audubon Society and a participant in the Wisconsin Mussel Monitoring Program, will give talk about the River Mussels of Wisconsin.
His presentation will include the life cycle, importance, identification, and the current and past threats faced by river mussels. He will also discuss how you can help by
participating in the Wisconsin Mussel Monitoring Program.

Kevin Kenow - Common Loons in the Upper Midwest
Kevin Kenow, Wildlife Research Biologist with the USGS in La Crosse, will give a presentation on Common Loons. He has been conduction research on this species
for many years and will present his findings. This will include an assessment of Common Loon populations - and how they are adapting (or not) to the effects of
climate change and other envioronmental factors.
The program is free and open to the public.

Annual Meeting
The January meeting is our annual meeting. It includes a potluck, a business meeting including an election of officers, and then sharing of photos.
The potluck will start at 6:00 PM, the Annual Meeting will start at 7:00 PM, with photo sharing afterwards. We will meet at The Nature Place.
For those who would like to participate in the social gathering, please bring light snacks to share.
